Roma Valerie Ziarnko

Ziarnko, Roma Valerie Muskegon, Michigan Roma Valerie Ziarnko, age 80, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022. She was born in Muskegon, MI on February 13, 1942 to William & Evelyn (DeWilder) Ziarnko. Roma grew up in Muskegon and attended schools there. She went on to earn a Masters Degree in Bilingual Cultures and Education while also majoring in Spanish. She taught school all over the world for over 40 years including some time at Muskegon Community College and Muskegon High School. She lived most of her life in Ann Arbor but she loved to travel. Roma became a Quaker and was also a member of the Harbor Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Muskegon. Throughout her life she was was a liberal , pro choice, peace lover who wasn't afraid to join up and participate in protests for the causes she believed in. She also enjoyed writing poems and short stories and had several published over the years.
