Rolland "Rollie" Hansen Lange, age 80, passed away Friday evening, May 12, 2017, at the Hospice House of North Ottawa Community, Spring Lake, MI. He was born in Grand Haven on February 27, 1937 to Rolland Bignell and Dorothy (Hansen) Lange. In 1955, Rollie graduated from Muskegon High School, attended Muskegon Community College, and thereafter served two years in the United States Army. He lived in Los Angeles, California, and Chicago, Illinois, working for Jacque Cousteau's US Divers, before returning to the Muskegon area Prior to his retirement in 2006, Rollie worked in the oil and gas industry for over 50 years. SURVIVORS: He married the former Carol Cwiakala in Muskegon, and she survives him along with two sons: Todd (Elizabeth) Lange, Grand Haven; Troy (Elena) Lange, Ypsilanti; one brother, Paul R. (Patricia) Lange, Mason, MI; seven grandchildren, and several close relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved second Mother, Sara Prescott Lange, and mother-and father-in-law, Walter and Florence (Crampton) Cwiakala. As per Rollie's wishes, cremation has already taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
