Roland "Bud" Griffin, 87, passed away on March 7, 2007 after a brief illness. Bud was born February 10, 1920, in Muskegon, MI. During his career he owned and operated Griffin Construction and Griffin Marine in Muskegon; in retirement he enjoyed volunteering as a driver for the Red Cross and driving the bus for Nelson Place residents. Bud was a jack of all trades, always full of humor, known by many and loved by all. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Rone of 55 years; his mother, Sylvia Plumhoff and his sister, Dorothy Kline. He is survived by his son Ken (Linda) Griffin; four grandchildren, Kendra (Bob) Landers, Kyle (Jodi) Griffin, Kip (Tammie) Griffin and Jeremy Griffin; nine great-grandchildren, RJ, Ryan, Kasey, Alex, Bethany, Dean, Katelyn, Olivia and Dylan; two sisters, Maxine and Marilyn, along with his special friend, Joyce Johnson. Funeral Services will be held at Calvary Church, 5873 Kendra, Monday, March 12, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, on Sunday, from 3 to 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to Harbor Hospice.
