Roger Jacobson

Mr. Roger C. Jacobson, age 82, passed away on April 12, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ruth E. Jacobson. Roger is survived by three sons, James (Kathy), Thomas, and David (Julia); two grandchildren, Jeffery (Dawn Jacobson and Ann Jacobson; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Jacobson and Brittany Jacobson; a brother, Paul (Ruth) Jacobson; a sister-in-law, Esther Wikman; and two brothers-in-law, Paul (Mary) Lillmars and Russ Huffman. Roger was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II. He retired from the Muskegon County Airport. Roger was very active at Forest Park Covenant Church where he was involved in the founding of the Hi-League Group and helped organize the Ski Club, which included the weekly Cannonsburg trips and the yearly trip to Breckenridge. He was a licensed pilot who enjoyed giving his time to underprivileged children for their first airplane rides. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park Covenant Church, 3815 Henry St., on Wednesday, April 18th with The Reverend Russell Carlson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to Forest Park Covenant Church.
