Rochelle E. Brant

Rochelle E. Brant, age 66, passed away Sunday afternoon at a local hospital following a long illness. She was born on June 11, 1941 in Great Falls, Montana to Elmer and Dorothy (Bacon) Magnuson. She married Mr. Victor E. Brant on November 14, 1957 in Ft. Benton, MT and moved to Muskegon. Rochelle was formerly employed at EPC Industries for 17 years, retiring in 2005 from the El Royal Motel where she was head-housekeeper. Throughout the years Mrs. Brant was very active with the Beach School P.T.A. where she held numerous positions, from secretary to board president. She was also active in the Fruitport Band Parents. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, baking but, most of all, being a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by: husband, Victor; 3 daughters, Brenda (Steven) Whaley of St. Cloud, FL, Pamela (Ernest) McClain of Kalamazoo and Nancy Brant of Jackson, MI; son, Robert (Laurie) Brant of Jackson, MI; 5 grandchildren, Mallory, Kelly, Jordan, Jennifer and Michael; and a brother, Dr. Ronald Magnuson of Denver, CO. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 26, 2007 at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Gerald Hagans officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Mrs. Brant will be laid to rest in Fruitport Cemetery. Memorials to the Crippled Children's Association of Michigan or the Hackley Hospital Cancer Center would be appreciated.
