Robert Woods

Mr. Robert C. Woods, age 85, died Monday, March 5, 2007 in Muskegon. He was born May 10, 1921 in Nirvana, MI to Millard and Orpha (Batchelder) Woods, and had resided in the Muskegon area. Mr. Woods was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during W.W. II and retired from CWC Textron. He married the former Opal Combs, and she preceded him in death on April 10, 2004. Mr. Woods belonged to VFW 446 in Muskegon and VFW 5315 in Baldwin, and enjoy hunting and fishing. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Robert C. Woods, Jr. of Muskegon, Holly Woods of Las Vegas, NV, Steven Woods of Muskegon, and Ted (Sally) Woods of Spring Lake; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Jim, John, and Ephriem Woods; 4 sisters, Sarah Zietz, Pauline Croff, Lilly Woods, and Rose Lyons. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Bernice Reed-DeHorn and Elsie Avery. SERVICES will be 11 AM Friday at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor John Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Thursday. Burial will take place in Chase Township Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to the Alzheimer's Association West Shore Region would be appreciated.
