Robert Thaler

Mr. Robert D. Thaler, age 93, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was born in Hart, Michigan on February 27, 1925, to Delos & Pearl (McCarthy) Thaler and served his country in the US Army at the end of World War II. He married the former Mary Ruth Thompson on April 24, 1947, and had been employed at Shaw Walker for 44 years until retiring. Robert was a member of the Moose Lodge in Florida and the Muskegon Heights Eagles. He loved to camp and dance and wintering in Florida. SURVIVORS Sons, Robert Thaler of FL, Gary (Mary) Thaler of Muskegon, Randy (Nancy) Thaler of OK; daughter, Juanita (Don) Fowler of Fruitport; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Millie Johnson, Brenda (Freeman) Savidge, Joe (Lois) Thaler; many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; grandson, Jason Judson; brothers, Don & Dave Thaler; sisters, Ora Osborn & Jewel Wieber. SERVICE Tuesday, April 10, 2018, 3:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Carlos Ramos officiating. Interment in Hart Cemetery.
