Robert A. Sweet

SWEET, MR ROBERT A. Muskegon, MI Mr. Robert A. Sweet, age 81, died Saturday, December 8, 2001 & is now resting in the arms of Jesus. He was born on April 25, 1920 in Freesoil, MI to Ira & Blanche McMeans Sweet & married the former Alice Dutmer Nesbitt in October of 1974. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr Sweet was a test house worker for Teledyne Continental Motors for 37 years until retiring in 1982 & had been a very active member of the Berean Church. SURVIVORS Wife, Alice; a son, Paul Kathy Sweet of Linton, IN; 2 daughters, Wendy Matheny of Muskegon, MI & Margaret Sweet of Grand Rapids, MI; 3 step-children; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grand-children; 2 sisters, Alice Matthews of Muskegon, MI & Carol Green of Harbor Springs, MI; a brother, David Sweet of Midland, MI; son-in-law, David Gutierrez of Muskegon, MI; his first wife & good friend, Irene Sweet, also of Muskegon, MI. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Gutierrez in 1998 & by a brother, Earl in 2001. SERVICE Tuesday, December 11, 2001, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Paul Sweet officiating.
