Robert "Bob" Walter Robertson Sr., age 90, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023. He was born in Muskegon, MI on December 29, 1932 to Alford & Francis (Hughson) Robertson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War, a Purple Heart recipient wounded in action in Wonju, Korea. After serving his country, on February 12, 1955, Bob married Linda Raymond, they were married for 39 beautiful years when she passed away in 1994. Bob had worked in shipping and receiving at American Coil Spring for over 35 years until retiring. Bob was a talented carpenter and built his dream cabins and a retirement home in Bitely, MI. He liked to fish, hunt, play golf and bowl in a league. Bob was a longtime Detroit Lions fan and liked playing poker with his family while watching the games. He was also a very good cook and liked spending time hunting for treasures with his metal detector. Above all, Bob loved his family and he will always have a special place in their hearts.


Bob will be deeply missed by his children, Janet (Scott) Brannam, Janice Robertson, Sharon (Terry) Love, Theodore Robertson, Robert "Bob" Robertson Jr.; grandchildren, Angela Brannam, Jennifer Brannam, Amber Minzey, Katie Love, Lindsey Minzey, Marcie Ingalls, Heather Zavitz, Billy Gath, Crystal Gath, RJ Robertson; 19 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brothers James (Pearl) Robertson, Tom (Leah) Bell; sister Joann Bogue; several nieces and nephews.


Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 10-11 AM at Clock Funeral Home in Muskegon on Peck St.,The funeral will be following at 11 AM with Pastor Richard Cotton officiating. A special burial ceremony with a Final Veterans Salute will take place at Laketon Township Cemetery in North Muskegon following the funeral. To conclude the day , the family invites you to a Luncheon at Don Rea V.F.W. #8846 on Witham Rd in North Muskegon.
