Robert F. Ribesky

RIBESKY, MR. ROBERT F. Muskegon, MI Mr. Robert F. Ribesky, age 72, died Thursday, October 24, 2002. He was born in Muskegon, MI on December 31, 1929 to John Ribecki & Catherine Ribesky & married the former Colleen Halloran on June 25, 1994. Mr. Ribesky served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He received his BA from Central Michigan in Music & his MA from Western Michigan in English. Mr. Ribesky had been a teacher at Muskegon Catholic Central & Orchard View Schools before becoming an English Instructor at Muskegon Community College where he worked for 30 years until retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church in Grand Haven & it's choir. Mr. Ribesky was a private pilot & a member of the Grand Haven Aviation Club. He was an avid golfer, an accomplished woodcarver & loved to travel. SURVIVORS Wife, Colleen; 1 son, Gregg Cindy Ribesky of Muskegon, MI; 2 daughters, Susan David Ruel of Grand Rapids, MI & Mary Ribesky of Seattle, WA; 1 granddaughter, Beth Pasikowski of Grand Rapids; 1 sister, Fran Parish of Coopersville, MI; 1 brother, Mike Marnie Ribesky of Whitehall, MI. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marguerite ''Maggie'' Ribesky in 1987; a brother, John; sister, Ann & by 2 brothers-in law, Morrie Parish & Steve Palovich. SERVICE The Funeral Liturgy will be offered Monday, October 28, 2002, 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 920 Fulton St., Grand Haven, MI with Fr. William Langlois presiding. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery. VISITATION Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Clock Funeral Home-Muskegon with a Rosary being prayed at 8:00 PM.
