Robert C. Oosting Sr.

Mr. Robert Charles Oosting Sr., age 87, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019. He was born in Muskegon, MI on July 27, 1931 to George & Clara (Johnson) Oosting and served his country in the US Army. He married the former Doris (Johnson) Hannan on November 5, 1988. Mr. Oosting had been the Owner & Operator of L & L Pattern for over 30 years until retiring in 2002. Robert was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and was an avid bowler. He enjoyed playing golf, bike riding, working out at the gym and was a Detroit Tiger fan. SURVIVORS Wife of 30 years, Doris; sons, Robert (Kathryn) Oosting Jr., William (Laurie) Oosting; daughters, Donna (Don Murray) Alderink, Barbara (Ronald Eckert) Zang; stepchildren, Kathleen (Richard) Benton, Michael (Tracy) Hannan; grandchildren, Liz, Andrea, Kim, Ashley, Ally, Robert, Ryan, William, Nick, Alex, Oak, Caitlin, Kiley, Colby; great grandchildren, Kali, Kelci, Kenzi, Kyler, Mila, Amelia, Otis brother, George (Pat) Oosting; sister, Betty (Jake) Crenno; many nieces & nephews; his cats, K.C. & Bootsie. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly; granddaughter, Erin Zang; sons-in-law, Richard Alderink & Darrell Zang. SERVICE Wednesday, March 6, 2019, Noon with visitation one hour prior to the service at Lakeside Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Beetham officiating.
