Robert "Bob" Lee Kramer, age 82, of Muskegon, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 25, 2026.

Bob was born on April 10, 1943, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Louis and Lois (Bowen) Kramer. A lifelong resident of the area, he graduated from Muskegon High School in 1961. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. For 40 years, he was the dedicated and familiar face behind the counter as the Meat Manager for Meijer on Henry Street, a profession he began after starting his career at Swanson's market. Many in the community knew him as "the butcher."

Bob was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church and an active member of the Muskegon Eagles and the Lithuanian Club. He was always quick with a joke and loved to make people laugh. Bob found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as meticulously caring for his yard and watching the birds. Above all, Bob was a devoted family man who adored his grandchildren and great-granddaughters. Despite significant health challenges in his later years, including becoming a double amputee, his fighting spirit never wavered.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Mary (Matuzeski) Kramer; his daughters, Lisa (Scott) Willeke and Kelly Maples; his grandchildren, Hunter (Joy) Anderson, MacKenzie (Devon Lesnek) Willeke, Zoie (Ben Rosenthal) Willeke, and Evan VanCoppenolle; and his great-granddaughters, Mila and Marley Anderson. Stepchildren JoAnn Barrett and Bobby (Sarah) Barrett and granddaughter Paige Barrett. He is also survived by his sisters, Candy Nastase and Kris Weithoff, and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Randy Kramer, and his sister Marianne Hathaway. He also leaves behind his good companion and beloved dog, Buddy.
