Robert A. Laird

LAIRD, MR. ROBERT A. Muskegon, MI Mr. Robert A. Laird, age 83, died Tuesday, September 24, 2002. He was born in Muskegon Heights, MI on August 14, 1919 to James C. & Louise Jensen Laird & married the former Genevieve Rose on September 20, 1951. Mr. Laird had been employed as a Chemist at Shaw Walker for 28 years. He then worked as a Consultant for the Knoll Group for 10 years until retiring in 1989. Mr. Laird was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church having served as a past member of the church vestry & past usher. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, golf & photography. SURVIVORS Wife, Genevieve; 3 daughters, Mary Roger Bedker of Ludington, MI, Lillian Gary Neff of Kalamazoo, MI & Ruth Dan Cox of Denver, CO; 4 grandchildren, David Cox, Sarah Neff, Samuel Neff & Megan Bedker; 1 sister-in-law, Sally Laird; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Laird. SERVICE Saturday, September 28, 2002, 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Fr. Joe Ashby officiating. Interment at Norton Cemetery.
