Robert H. Johnson, Sr.

Robert H. Johnson, Sr., age 87, died May 15, 2008 at Poppen Residence (Harbor Hospice). He was preceded in death by Margaret Mary (Peg) his wife of 39 years and his son, Timothy. Bob is survived by his wife, Doris Patton Johnson of Spring Lake; 2 sons, Robert of St. Louis, MO, David (Jane) of Norton Shores; 4 daughters, Joan Post of Louisiana, MO, Susan (Gary) Harvey of Marne, Mary Johnson of Muskegon and Meg (Doug) Kempton of Grosse Pt. Woods; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; his sister, Pat (Al) Teunis of Norton Shores and two step-sons, Tom (Lori) and Denny (Tova) Patton. He was a tool and die maker. Bob was a former member of St. Jean's (Muskegon) and presently of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Spring Lake. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid community volunteer. Please join his family in the celebration of his life at a funeral Mass celebrated by his grandson, Fr. Joseph Post at St. Mary's, Spring Lake on Tuesday, May 20 at 11:00 AM. A Luncheon will follow for family and friends. Private burial of his cremains. In lieu of flowers please make donation to Harbor Hospice or International Aid.
