Robert H. Johnson

Mr. Robert H. Johnson, age 90, died Sunday, January 11, 2009. He was born in Muskegon Heights, MI on April 19, 1918 to Harry & Jenny (Johnsen) Johnson and served in the US Navy during World War II. He married the former Barbara Pedler on February 10, 1940. Mr. Johnson had been employed in management at Shaw Box & Eliason Corp until retiring in 1981. He was a long-time member of First Congregational Church UCC, Muskegon; Muskegon Country Club; and Vikings. SURVIVORS Wife, Barbara; son, Jeffrey (Ann) Johnson of Ft. Myers, FL; daughters, Nancy (Terry) Tighe of Park Ridge, IL; Roberta Johnson of Madison, WI; Barbara Johnson of Larchmont, NY; grandchildren, Rob (Kelli) Harman of Chicago, IL; Jack Tiebout of Larchmont, NY; great grandson, Brett G. Harman. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Brett J. Harman in 2004 & brother Russell in 1986. SERVICE Thursday, January 15, 2009, 11:00 AM at Clock Chapel with Rev. Tim VanderHaar officiating. Interment at First Congregational Church Columbarium. VISITATION Thursday, 1 hour prior to the service at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Alzheimer's Association or Humane Society.
