Robert "Bob" Harvey

Robert "Bob" Harvey finished his last race on December 15, 2018. He was first-born to Bob & Betty Harvey in Grand Rapids on January of 1954. After a couple years guidance, he proceeded to do things his own way-learning what he wanted to learn, fixed what he wanted to fix- all brilliantly! He is survived by Anita, his wife of 38 years; his sister, Gail Steinmetz; a passel of nieces, nephews, in-laws. Bob found joy and challenge in racing sailboats on both soft water and ice adjusting, refining, correcting. His las enterprise was shared with great friends on the boat Sisu tenacity with grit and grace. No service is planned. However, there will be a memorial gathering at the Muskegon Yacht Club on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bob's favorite causes: Muskegon Heritage Museum, Muskegon Junior Sailing Association at the MYC or Harbor Hospice Foundation. Fair winds, Bob
