GREEN, MR. ROBERT M. Muskegon Mr. Robert M. Green age 82 passed away November 23, 2006 in Muskegon, Michigan. He was born July 7, 1924 in Muskegon the only child of Myrl Green and Mary (Oliver) Green. Robert Green grew up in West Michigan, living in Sparta and Frankfort before moving back to Muskegon where he attended Muskegon Heights High School. In February 1943, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Army and was assigned to Company A in the 250th Engineer Construction Battalion. He served as a demolition specialist in the European theater until the war ended, and he was awarded two bronze stars for his service. After being honorably discharged in 1949, Robert married the former Myrtle M. Lovett in Muskegon and they shared 56 years of married life before she preceded him in death in January 2005. Robert and Myrtle built their own home in Laketon Township in 1954 where they lived together for the rest of their lives. Mr. Green worked at Clarke Floor Machine for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1985. Bob especially enjoyed traveling to Yellowstone National Park and the western United States on summer vacations. Family pets were a large part of his life and were always included in any travel plans. SURVIVORS Robert Green is survived by several nieces and nephews; Debra (Steven) Beck, Raymond (Tracy) Budzynski, Jerry (Cindy) Burnett, Connie (Rick) Grinwis, Chelene Hirshower, Steven (Jane) Leloff, and Penny (David) Pouliotte; and other family members; Elizabeth Beck, Thomas Beck, J.L. Burnett, Charissa Burnett, Trina (Rob) Carpenter, Eric Grinwis, Melody Grinwis, Amanda Leloff, Angela Leloff and Lori (Chad) McCarl. He is also survived by three sister-in-laws; Iva (Peter) Berghuis of Fruitport, Eva Budzynski of Flagstaff, AZ and Catherine Leloff of Norton Shores. Uncle Bob will be missed by his family. SERVICE Wednesday, November 29, 2006, 5:00 PM, at the Clock Chapel with Rev. John Brown officiating. Private interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
