Robert S. "Bob" Devries

Mr. Robert S. "Bob" DeVries, age 83, passed away early Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the Poppen House. He was born January 31, 1925 to John and Millie (Carrier) DeVries and was a life resident of the area. He was a member of Mona Shores Baptist Church and retired from Sealed Power in 1984. Mr. DeVries enjoyed the outdoors and woodworking. On August 31, 1946 he married, Marilyn Hancock in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include his wife Marilyn, 2 children, Doug (Pam) DeVries of Holland and Tom (Diane) DeVries of Sumter, S.C; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-granddaughters. VISITATION with the family will be this evening (Thursday) from 6-8 PM at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11 AM Friday, June 13, 2008 at Mona Shores Baptist Church (3800 Lake Harbor Rd). Memorials to Mona Shores Baptist Church or Harbor Hospice would be appreciated. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery.
