Robert N. Chase

Mr. Robert N. Chase, age 88, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on June 27, 1927 to Neal & Coral (VanWiltenburg) Chase and was an Army veteran who served his country in the US. He married the former Loree Eklund on October 17, 1953. Mr. Chase was a graduate of the University of Michigan with a BA in Business Administration and had been employed as a supervisor for Teledyne Continental Motors for over 35 years until retiring in 1984. Bob was a caring, family man who spent more than 3 years of his life personally assisting in the construction of a home for each of his sons. He was an avid reader who enjoyed fishing, camping at Tunnel Lake (Ontario) and family vacations with his friends, the Thielbars. The family would like to thank the staff of Seminole Shores for the loving care they provided over the past 18 months. SURVIVORS Wife of 62 years, Loree; sons, Robert L (Carrie) Chase of Muskegon; Leonard T. Chase of OH; grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Zylka, Emily (Porfirio Garcia) Chase, Andrew Chase, Krinn (Michael) Walsworth; 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Neal in 2000.
