CERNOCH, MR. ROBERT D. "BOB" Ferrysburg Mr. Robert D. "Bob" Cernoch, age 83, of Ferrysburg, died Thursday, December 8, 2005. He was born in Antigo, Wisconsin, on December 15, 1921 to Frank and Mary Barta Cernoch and married the former Marie Wildey on September 21, 1946. She preceded him in death in March 2005. He was a decorated veteran, having served in the US Army in WWII. Mr. Cernoch had been a self employed master carpenter for 65 years. He was one of the Founding Fathers of the City of Ferrysburg, serving 3 terms on the Ferrysburg City Council, the Board of Review, the County Board of Supervisors and the Zoning Board of Appeals. Mr. Cernoch was the 2003 N. Ottawa County "Older American of the Year" and a longtime volunteer of the Historical Society and the Grand Haven Museum. He was also a member of the Grand Haven American Legion Post 28. SURVIVORS 2 daughters, Sue Larry Bichelmeyer of Idaho and Sheela Rob Schlorer of Washington; 3 grandchildren, Derek, Mindy Scott and Ty; 6 great grandchildren, Scotty, Avery, Henry, Catherine, Hannah and Jack; he is also survived by his brothers, sisters and cousins and their families in Wisconsin and Michigan. SERVICE A Memorial Gathering for MR. ROBERT D. "BOB" CERNOCH, age 83, will be held Sunday, December 11, 2005, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home. Memorials: Hospice of North Ottawa or The Salvation Army.
