Robert David Carr, 77, of Fruitport, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025.

Robert was born January 26, 1948, the son of Woodrow and Marion Carr. He served his country proudly in the US Army. Following his time in the military he married the former Peggy Hutchison and together they enjoyed nearly 53 years of marriage. Robert worked for Standard Automotive which later became Burgess Norton. In his early years he had a job at Mills Ice Cream and in retirement he delivered newspapers. Later in life he also attended Baker College. He enjoyed photography, cooking, bowling, visiting with his silbings for their monthly lunch get togethers, cooking, and traveling. He was a loving, understanding, wise man who will be deeply missed.

SURVIVORS

Wife, Peggy; children, Stephanie (Shane) Schippers, and Stacey (Shane) Shook; grandchildren, Alyssa, Devon, Mason, Owen, and Averie; brothers, Richard and John (Kathy); sisters, Marilyn McCann, and Shirley Poll.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, niece, Karen; and brothers-in-law, John and Larry.

SERVICES

Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Clock Funeral Home 1469 Peck Street Muskegon. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Interment will be at Restlawn Cemetery.
