Robert "Bobby" Lee Bisard (AKA uncle Bobby, PaPa, Big PaPa and BOB (when Amanda meant business 😁) Life was never dull when he was around. He had a free spirit, a big heart and a way of making every moment an adventure. Whether it was chasing the open road and landing at a Casino, watching the sun set or being the first person to answer a call for help. Bobby lived life on his own terms and left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew him.
Bobby's journey began in Muskegon, Michigan on August 22, 1953, born to Elmer Marion Bisard and Elaine (Hall) Bisard. He was 2nd to the youngest of thirteen children, growing up in a lively and bustling household alongside his siblings; 8 brothers, Elmer Bisard Jr., Richard Bisard, Fred (Joan) Bisard, James (Sally) Bisard, James (Ruth) Ripley, Wayne (Paula) Ripley, Richard (Margo) Ripley, Randy (Debra) Bisard, 4 sisters, Lois (Jerry) Ploeger , Linda (Gary) Lamer, Ardis Neumann, Lola "Tinker" (Butch) Wentzloff.
The Bisard's shared a bond built on love, loyalty, and a whole lot of unforgettable stories.
Growing up, Bobby and his siblings made their own fun. Vacations were rare, but the family made up for it with trips to fairs, visits to the big lake, and dinners with relatives. Bobby had a knack for adventure, always looking for something exciting to do-and usually finding it. In the summers you could find him camping with his grandkids, out at the lake for family gatherings, or just cruising by Lake Michigan.
As he got older, Bobby became the person everyone could count on. If you needed a ride, he'd drop everything and be there. At a moment's notice, no questions asked. He was the guy who showed up when it mattered most.
He was a devoted father to Aleasha (Charles Sr.) Bisard-Florez, Amanda (Dell) Swarvar and Jacob Bisard. A very Proud grandfather of 9, Tyler Bisard, Jazmyn (Kevin) Polk, Alexus (Jeremy) Foster, Charles Florez Jr., Mariah Swarvar, Kaden Swarvar, Aubree Bisard, Jerick Bisard and Jhett Bisard. He was also a very Great grandfather to 7 and one more on the way.
His nieces and nephews adored him, and he had a way of keeping them in line when needed-just ask his
nephew, whom Bobby once pulled outside and set straight when no one else could. He was tough when he needed to be, but his heart was as big as they come. All the nieces and nephews were close to his heart, however he had 1 niece Carol Ripley and one nephew Jerry (aka Man) Johnson) that due to unforeseen circumstances throughout Life, has caused them to have an extra special bond.
Bobby had a way of handling the women in his life, too. First wife, Vicky Bisard and 2nd wife Pamela Lacey. They loved him, but they sure did love to argue with him. Whether it was sending two woman out in a canoe at Blue Lake to settle their differences or knowing just when to step back and let things play out. He always had his own way of keeping the peace.
Though his time here was too short, Bobby lived more in his years than most do in a lifetime. He was a rolling stone, an adventurer, a protector, and a man who showed up when it counted. His legacy will live on in the countless memories he leaves behind.
Bobby had a very peaceful passing on February 8th 2025 at 5:14 a.m.
We will be celebrating his life on Saturday February 15th 3-5pm. Beginning at 5pm we will start an honorary tribute ride down to Lake Michigan around Pier Marquette ending by the water plant.
You can depart from there if you choose or you can share more memories of him amongst yourself. My dad was seen by many mostly at Lake Michigan or Muskegon River, staring at the water reflecting on life.
The Location of the Celebration is at the Harmony Lake Club House, 1700 Harmony Lake Dr Muskegon, Mi 49444 Near Harvey and Pontaluna.
If you wish you can make donations to the family to help lessen the financial burden or make a donation in honor of Bobby to a foundation he was extremely passionate about, Mothers against Drunk Driving. Our family has been extremely affected due to teenagers choosing to Drink and Drive resulting in the death of 3 out of 4 boys. RIP Terry
