Robert C. Bareham, age 57, of Grand Haven passed away suddenly April 12, 2008 at Mercy Hospital. Bob was born March 14, 1951 in Detroit to Robert N. and Eunice E. (Keskey) Bareham and moved to Spring Lake at a young age where he graduated from high school and went on to Muskegon Community College. Bob served in the US Naval Reserve during the Vietnam War. Bob was very proud of his career at Spring Lake Schools where he maintained the athletic fields and also worked for North Ottawa Recreation Department. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and Grand Haven American Legion Post #28. Bob enjoyed all sports, especially University of Michigan and Detroit sports. He coached softball and was very involved with his daughters' sports activities. Bob and his twin brother Bruce officiated high school sports for 20 years, worked the '1987' and '1993' football finals and '1988' basketball finals. He also enjoyed fishing and taking photos of family and friends in sporting events. Bob is survived by his daughters; Ashley and Kari both at home, 2 brothers; Bruce (Linda) of Grand Haven, Phillip (Nancy) of DeWitt, MI, a sister Elizabeth (Andrew Black) of Oshawa Ontario, Canada and several nieces and nephews. Also his former wife Patricia Bareham-Meinel and a good friend Ron Rop. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service for Bob will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church with The Reverend Lily Marx, Deacon officiating. Friends may meet the family Tuesday 5-8 p.m. at VanZantwick, Bartels, Kammeraad in Grand Haven. Memorials to his daughters educational assistance are appreciated.
