Robert Ambrose

Mr. Robert J. Ambrose, age 88, died Sunday, May 20, 2007. He was born September 25, 1918 in Grand Rapids, MI to William F. & Isabel (Toles) Ambrose, and married Barbara June VandenBos June 21, 1941 in Grand Rapids. She preceded him in death September 24, 2004. Robert was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. Besides playing an integral part in the construction of many buildings in Grand Rapids, he was employed at Muskegon Public Schools as supervisor of grounds and operated Ambrose Janitorial Services. Bob was a loving husband, father and a wonderful grandpa. SURVIVORS 1 son: Thomas of Grand Rapids, 7 grandchildren: Elizabeth Ambrose of Grand Rapids; Anne, David, Zachary, Danielle, Mia and Daniel Ambrose, all of Muskegon; daughter-in-law, Arlaine Ambrose of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; 3 sisters, Amy, Isabel, Peg; 3 brothers, William, Charles, Gus. SERVICE A graveside service will be held at Laketon Township Cemetery, date and time to be announced later.
