Rita Joyce Weldon

Rita Joyce Weldon passed away on Saturday morning March 14 2026. She was born in Bardstown Kentucky on January 5th 1949 to Charles and Anithia Knopp. She married Rick Weldon on June 3rd 2000. Rita was very compassionate and loving. She retired from Johnson Controls and also worked at Meijer stores.. She enjoyed bowling, socializing, dining out and theatre. She was very talented at carpentry projects,home improvement, landscaping and gardening.Rita and Rick often traveled to Canada enjoying playhouses antique auctions and yard sales. Rita is survived by her husband Rick,her son Bryan Smith, daughter in law Jackie Smith, her son Aaron Smith, grandsons Gavin Smith (deceased)and Caolan Smith. Brother Ray Knopp(Laurie),many other friends, relatives, work partners and four legged companions A celebration of life will be announced at a later date
