Rita F. Sheehan

Mrs. Rita Florence Sheehan, age 86, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017. She was born in Binghamton, New York on January 27, 1931 to Milton & Florence (Fredette) Duffy and married Joseph Sheehan on June 5, 1954. Mrs. Sheehan had been employed as a Teacher's Aide for North Muskegon Public Schools for a time while being a full time wife, mother and grandmother. Rita was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church who loved to travel, play Bridge, read mysteries and watch old movies. SURVIVORS Sons, Bob (Heidi) Sheehan of Lansing, Joe (Barb) Sheehan of WI, Bill Sheehan of North Muskegon, Jim (Cindy) Sheehan of Norton Shores; daughters, Jane Kielbasa of North Muskegon, Irene (Mike) Pless of GA, Rita (Marv) Way of Grand Haven; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, James (Louise) Duffy of NY; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph; infant daughter, Mary Rita; grandson, Nick & sister, Jane. SERVICE Friday, July 28, 2017, 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Fr. Godfrey Onyekwere officiating. Interment in Laketon Township Cemetery.
