Richard J. Sieplinga, age 88, passed through to his eternal home on September 4, 2010. He was born on January 28, 1922 in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in Italy in WWII. Richard retired in 1971 after 35 years as a cost accountant at Bennett Pump. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Dena (DeLong) Sieplinga, 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeannette and Frank Marxer, Grace and Hans Sikkenga, Harriet and Lowell Stong and Ethel and Tom Noble. 3 infant brothers also preceded him in death. SURVIVORS Several nephews, nieces and cousins including Frank Marxer who he always called him "my boy". A lifelong bachelor, he referred to many of us as his "kids" and "special cousins". We are honored. SERVICE Friday, September 10, 2010, 11:00 A.M. at Calvary Bible Church - 4617 Grand Haven Rd. with Pastor Ed Arndt officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION 2 hours prior to service at the church at. MEMORIAL: Muskegon City Rescue Mission or Calvary Bible Church.
