Richard Sheehy Sr.

Sheehy, Mr. Richard Merrill Muskegon Mr. Richard Merrill Sheehy, age 90, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on May 7, 1925 to Earl & Effie (Millis) Sheehy and married the former Glenna (Kops) Olson on May 7, 2001. Mr. Sheehy served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and later had been employed as a Defense Contractor for Continental for 30 years until retiring. Richard was a member of Dalton Baptist Church & Calvary Memorial Church as well as the Don Rea V.F.W. #8846. Richard enjoyed traveling, sight seeing, chasing waterfalls, woodworking and was known for being mechanically inclined and able to fix anything. SURVIVORS Wife, Glenna Sheehy; children, Richard "Richie" Sheehy, Jr., Carolyn (Darry) Hichue, David (Tami) Sheehy, Cheryl (Bruce) Tyler, Debra K. Guilbault, Aldon Olson Jr., Charles (Mona) Olson, Debra (Darrell) Crawford; many grandchildren & great grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Laurie) Longsdorf, Wilford "Sonny" Longsdorf. He is preceded in death by sons, Roger & Dale Sheehy; brother, Haydon; sisters, Rosalee & Audrey; first wife, Betty (Demoor) Sheehy.
