Richard "Dick" Schump Jr.

Mr. Richard "Dick" R. Schump, age 80, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011. He was born in LaGrange, Il on February 5, 1931 to Richard & Vera (Behrens) Schump Sr. and married the former Carolyn W. Cheesman on October 14, 1993. Mr. Schump had been employed as a Senior Buyer at Grand Haven Stamped Products for 15 years. He was a member of West Olive Christian Reformed Church. Dick loved horses, blueberry farming, sports and model airplanes. SURVIVORS Wife, Carolyn; children, Pamela Walker of Il, William (Cathy) Schump of Il, Janice (Rick) Nordine of Battle Creek, Rebecca (Dan) Lehman of AZ; Sara Schump of Grand Haven; step daughter, Tracey (Ken) Carroll of CA; 11 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; 2 step great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Myra Lee Markovich. SERVICE Wednesday, November 2, 2011, 11:00 AM and visitation 1 hour prior to the service at West Olive Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Scott DeVries officiating.
