ROY, MR. RICHARD H. ''POPS'' Muskegon Mr. Richard H. ''Pops'' Roy, age 74, died peacefully Friday, April 16, 2004. A devoted, caring father of 7, he will be sadly missed by his family, friends & all who knew him as ''Pops''. He was born in Detroit, MI on November 22, 1929 to Hubert & Maurine Oakley Roy. Mr. Roy had served his country as a helicopter mechanic in Germany, in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed as a Plant Mananger of the Chris-Craft Engine Division in Gallipolis, Ohio, and in his later years, as an Engineer at Teledyne Continental Motors until retiring in 1994. In his earlier years, he was an avid boater in the Detroit area, a licensed pilot, a member of a midget racing car team, and enjoyed playing the organ. Mr. Roy also enjoyed playing bridge, and working on computers. SURVIVORS Daughter, Karen Stollar & grandson, Matt of OH; grandson, Cory Roy of Chicago; son, Donald Bernice Roy & grandson, Ricky of Grand Rapids; son, Mark Roy of Grand Rapids; daughter, Mary Ken McConnell & grandson, Jake of FL; daughter, Michelle Kuzma & grandchildren, Melissa & Jeremy, of Muskegon; daughter, Laura Latsch & grandchildren, Cheyenne & Michael, of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene ''Char'' Roy in 1992, and by his brother, Donald Roy in 1968. MEMORIAL SERVICE There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, April 25, 2004, 1:00 PM in the Clock Family Center. MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to offset expenses. Clock - Muskegon
