Richard Joel "Dick" Rosenberg

Mr. Richard Joel "Dick" Rosenberg, age 67, died peacefully surrounded by family early Wednesday, October 1, 2008. He was born on April 12, 1941 in Muskegon to Walter and Evelyn (Bouchard) Rosenberg. Dick played football and graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School. He married Anita Schmidt on October 7, 1972. Dick had been an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and its Mens Club, the Knights of Columbus #706, enjoyed watching Notre Dame Football, Detroit Red Wings Hockey, playing golf, traveling through all the states, and most recently loved visiting with his 3 grandchildren. He had been employed almost 25 years for Tyler Sales Co., Inc. Survivors are his wife, Anita; his children, Shanan Rosenberg of Grand Haven, Lannea (Mark) Roland of St. Claire Shores, and Richard (Jill) Rosenberg of Grand Haven; his grandchildren, Cameron, Maxwell and Lilly Rosenberg; his brothers, Gerald (Pat) Rosenberg of Fremont, and Thomas (Lanue) Rosenberg of Atwater, CA; his sisters, Charmaine "Mickey" Soful and Mary Beth (Tim) Froncek of Muskegon; special cousins, Artell Mathews and Jill Caudill; his nieces and nephews; his caregiver and special close friend, Tammi Dobb. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Darrel Rosenberg. The Funeral Liturgy will begin at 11am Saturday morning at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Entombment will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation hours on Friday are from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Pachesny-Jend Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30pm. Visitation also at the church Saturday one hour prior to service.
