Richard Neumann, age 87, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023. He was born in Muskegon,MI on December 9, 1935 to Ludwig & Susie (Barnum) Neumann. He married the former Kathryn "Katy" Glafcke October 15, 1955. Mr. Neumann had worked as a carpenter for Glafcke Builders and then his own company Neumann Construction for many years. Richard was a supporter of First Church of Christ, Scientist. Richard was the last survivor of his parent's eight children. Dick was also an avid supporter of the Muskegon Big Reds as a former Alum and starting football player for three years. He coached baseball little league and pony league teams for several years, leading three teams to the county championship. He graduated from Chicago Tech with a degree in drafting and the University of Michigan in the real estate program, and transitioned to the building industry, where he spent most of his career. He enjoyed bowling, horseback riding, playing cards, pinochle, cribbage, He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Wife, Kathryn "Katy" Neumann; Sons, Richard Wayne Neumann, Jr. of Helena, MT; Donald John Neumann of Muskegon; Scott Paul Neumann of Granby, CO; Daughters, Susan Kay Neumann of Kensington, CA; Gail Ann (Ralph) Thomas of Fruitport; Grandchildren, D.J. (Jaemi) Neumann; Jennifer (Andrew) Cole; Katrina Neumann; Jacob Neumann; Lisa Nicole (Brendan) Thompson; Erika (Harvey) Brown; Chad (Adriana) Thomas; 13 Great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Maxine, Lois, Pauline, Lewis, Lorraine, Carolyn, and Roger
