Richard Jespersen

Mr. Richard F. Jespersen, age 77, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013. He was born in Muskegon, MI on September 28, 1936 to Frederick & Virginia (Lee) Jespersen and served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married his soul mate Emilie Vanas on November 30, 1957. Mr. Jespersen had been employed as a Millwright at SD Warren until retiring. He was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church and enjoyed being with his family, fishing, yard work and feeding the birds. SURVIVORS The love of his life of 56 years, Emilie; children, Mark Jespersen of CA, Julie (Chad) Fordham of Big Rapids; daughter-in-law, Paula Jespersen of N. Muskegon; grandchildren, Julie, Eric, Christine, Emilie; great grandchildren, Lauren, Cody and Jacob; brother, Lawrence (Barbara) Jespersen of GA; sister-in-law, Rita (Wayne) Gale of Muskegon; brother-in-law, Darrell (Mary Jo) Vanas of CO; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Matthew Jespersen and granddaughter, Kari. SERVICE A Private Service has taken place. MEMORIAL: St. Francis deSales Catholic Church.
