Richard R. Jancek JANCEK, MR. RICHARD R. Montague Mr. Jancek, age 74, died January 15, 2006. Born April 22, 1931, in Rothbury, to John and Anna (Kudera) Jancek, he had lived in the White Lake area all his life. On July 14, 1956, in Muskegon, he married the former Nancy Latch, who preceded him in death. He had worked as a welder at Hooker Chemical Co. and later was self-employed. Mr. Jancek was affiliated with St. James Catholic Church, as a Life Member of White Lake VFW Post #3256 and a member of Algot Johnson American Legion Post #69. He loved to fish, tell jokes and golf, was active in the Montague Showboat as a "deck hand", loved to bowl and coached minor league baseball in Montague. He played football in the White Lake Independent League, enjoyed stock car racing at Thunderbird Raceway, and loved time spent with his family. He served in the U.S. Army with occupation forces in Germany after World War II. Mr. Jancek was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. FAMILY 2 sons, Rick Jancek of Rothbury and Robert Jancek of FL; a daughter, Lisa Jancek of Grand Rapids; 2 grandchildren, Zack Jancek of Montague and Phoenix Jancek of Grand Rapids; 2 sisters, Rose Katt of Montague and Patricia Bates of Montague; 2 brothers, Lewis (Marg) Jancek of Montague and William ("Lil") Jancek of Muskegon; many nieces & nephews. SERVICE Thursday, January 1, 2006, at 11:00 AM, from Clock Chapel-Whitehall with the Rev. Fr. Chris W. Rouech officiating. Interment will be made in Assumption Cemetery - Rothbury. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted at the cemetery by White Lake VFW Post #3256. VISITING HOURS Wednesday 5-8PM at the fuenral home in Whitehall. MEMORIALS Hospice of Muskegon/Oceana, 1050 W.
