Richard A. Hill, Sr.

Mr. Richard A. Hill, Sr. age 64, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at home surrounded by family. He was born January 19, 1944 in Muskegon to Robert and Eileen (Hanes) Hill and has lived in the area all of his life. Mr. Hill was a welder for Grand Haven Technologies, retiring in 1985. Mr. Hill was involved with Hope's Outlet Ministries. He loved to tinker, but most of all he loved bragging about his children and grandchildren. On November 5, 1968 he married Louella Strickler in Muskegon; she survives him along with 4 children, Jesse Hill of Fruitport, Annette (Kevin) Norwood of Spring Lake, Richard (Erin) Hill, Jr. of Saratoga Springs, NY, and David (Sarah) Hill of Whitehall, 5 grandchildren, Aaron Norwood, Kate Norwood, Noah Hill, Brynna Hill and Annalyse Hill. He is also survived by, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. SERVICES will take place 2:00 PM, Monday, April 21, 2008 at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Eric Strattan and Mr. Tim Tabor officiating. VISITATION with the family will be Sunday 2-5 PM and 1 hour prior to the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be given in honor of Richard to Hope's Outlet Ministries.
