Richard Franklin Ashley

Richard Franklin Ashley, age 70 passed away on November 7, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Edward Ashley, his wife Roe Konopa, and a brother, Robert Ashley. Surviving are his five children, Jeff, Monnie, Konnie, Jim, and Richard 'Mike' Ashley; grandchildren, Angie Kelsey, Richard Ashley, Eleanor Ashley, Jennifer Ashley, Jared Touzel; one great granddaughter, Caitlyn; a sister, Lois (Harold) Larabee, and a brother, Thomas Ashley. Richard was an active bowler, and enjoyed golfing, fishing, yard work and traveling and was a true avid outdoorsman. He was an active volunteer of Camp Blue Bird. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial visitation will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave., on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Camp Blue Bird of Ottawa County.
