Rhodes, James S.

Mr. Rhodes, age 87, died November 19, 2006. Born July 25, 1919, in Huntington, WV, to Charles and Mollie (Holliway) Rhodes, he had lived in the White Lake area for several years. On July 23, 1946, in Detroit, he married the former Thelma Kamer, who preceded him in death in 1977. He had worked as a purchasing agent for Livernois Engineering Co. for 13 years, retiring in 1983. Mr. Rhodes served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 6 sisters. FAMILY: A son, Steve (Bridget) Rhodes of Marysville, OH; a daughter, Jamey (Rick) Zeller of Montague, MI; grandchildren, Scott (Irene) Baumgartner of San Antonio, TX, Karri Baumgartner of Twin Lake, MI, Kara (Eric) Houser of Marysville, OH, Tiffany (Patrick) Bland of Grand Junction, CO, Lezlie (Emory) Pickelsimer of Newaygo, MI and Nathan Rhodes of Marysville, OH; 6 great-grandchildren. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Saturday, November 25, 2006, at 11:00 AM, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Columbus, OH. There will be no other services.
