LEMAIRE, REV. DONALD W. Norton Shores Rev. Donald W. LeMaire, age 85, died Tuesday, April 22, 2003 while in Vero Beach, FL. He was born on March 4, 1918 to John & Irene Price LeMaire & married the former Marian Main on August 12, 1939 & she preceded him in death in 1996. He then married the former Marian Leady Longnecker in 1997 & she survives him. Rev. LeMaire was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific serving on the USS Vega. Having attended Grand Rapids School of the Bible & Music, he was ordained as a Minister from the People's Tabernacle in 1953 & went on to minister in many capacities throughout the area serving as Chaplain of the V.F.W. Post #3734, Hackley Hospital & was the founding Pastor of Fruitland Baptist Church. Over the years he had also Pastored at Dalton Baptist Church, Grace Memorial Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist of Grand Haven, Jibson Bible Church, Giles Road Baptist Church & Evanston Avenue Baptist Church. Additionally, Rev. LeMaire had worked at Dresser Industries as an Inspector for 38 years prior to retiring in 1980. A ministry dear to his heart, Rev. LeMaire was a 40 year Board Member of the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Muskegon County, currently serving as Chairman of the Building Committee & the reason for which he is being honored with memorial requests to this worthy cause. SURVIVORS Wife, Marian; 1 son, Donald W. ''Bill'' Laurel LeMaire of Muskegon, MI; 2 daughters, Linda Dan Engstrom of OK & Donna LeMaire of North Palm Beach, FL; stepson, Daniel JudyLongnecker of Muskegon, MI; stepdaughter, Sally LeRoux of Grand Rapids, MI; daughter-in-law, Candy LeMaire of Muskegon, MI; 10 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren & 1 step great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marian Main LeMaire on March 28, 1996 & by a daughter, Karen LeMaire in 1943. SERVICE Sunday, April 27, 2003, 2:00 PM at Calvary Church with Rev. Andy Husman & Rev. Bill Rudd officiating. Interment at Restlawn Cemetery. VISITATION Friday, 5-9 PM and Saturday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
