He was born in Muskegon, MI on August 13, 1919 to Alfred & Mary Ralph Johnson & married the former Claribel Wright. Rev. Johnson was a former Minister & Professor. He was a member of Grace Gospel Church of Huntington, WV, former Pastor of Independent Baptist Church of Pound, VA as well as a former Vice President, Treasurer & Professor of Southland Bible Institute. SURVIVORS Wife, Claribel; 1 son, Meredith Ella Johnson of South Lyon, MI; 3 daughters, Arlis Freddie Dale Blackburn of Hudson, FL, Wilma Sandy Ard of Charleston, SC & Diana Jim Lemon of Raceland, KY; 2 brothers, Ralph Johnson of Twin Lake, MI & Alfred Johnson, Jr. of Muskegon, MI; 1 sister, Bonnie DeJonge of Muskegon, MI; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. SERVICE Friday, February 14, 2003, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Arnold Adams officiating. Interment at Laketon Township Cemetery.
