Renn C. Vanandel

VAN ANDEL, MR. RENN C. Muskegon, MI Mr. Renn C. VanAndel, age 81, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, February 19, 2003. He was born in New Era, MI on May 16, 1921 to Bert & Fanny Postma VanAndel & married the former Phyllis Sikkenga on June 15, 1945. Mr. VanAndel served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He attended Western Michigan University where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree & a Masters Degree in Education. He had been employed as a Maintenance Engineer at the Mart Dock, a teacher for Mona Shores & Reeths Puffer Schools & then assisted his brother at VanAndel Propane. He was a member of Olivet Reformed Church. Mr. VanAndel enjoyed gardening, traveling & especially visiting friends & family. SURVIVORS 2 sisters, Rica Houseman of Byron Center, MI & Dorothy Fred Deyoung of Kalamazoo, MI; 2 brothers, Benjamin VanAndel of Holland, MI & Bert June VanAndel of Ravenna, MI; 2 sisters-in-law, Nelva VanAndel of Spring Lake, MI & Ott VanAndel of Muskegon, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis in April of 2002, 2 sisters, Labertha Bruininks & Myna Wingelaar & by 3 brothers, Peter, John & Henry VanAndel. SERVICE Monday, February 24, 2003, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Russell K. Camp officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
