Reney Shunette Davis, age 56, made her peaceful transition on October 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Reney was born on April 28, 1969, in Muskegon, MI, where she was the cherished daughter of the late Arthur Davis and the late Betty (Blake) Clincy. Reney attended Muskegon Heights High School and completed her studies at Muskegon High School. She later pursued further studies at Muskegon Business College. For over 20 years, she dedicated her life to serving others as a compassionate home health care aide at various agencies throughout the Muskegon area.
Reney was a beloved member of her community, known for her unwavering faith and dedication to God. She was actively involved with her church, Bibleway Outreach Ministry COGIC. She cherished the opportunity to worship and share the joys of her faith with others. Her love for her family was boundless. Reney found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, creating lasting memories that will forever be treasured.
She leaves to mourn her passing: her son, Darwin Melton; her grandson, Kamarri Plougher; her stepfather, (more of a bonus, Dad) Mark Clincy; two brothers, Ellick Davis and Timothy Fonte Riley; two sisters, Donyell Blake and Tara (Doug L) Riley-Burse along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins as well other family and friends. Reney was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Davis; her mother, Betty Clincy; and her brother, Arthur Davis Jr.
In honor of Reney's life and legacy, a visitation will take place at Church of the Living God, 4249 S. Quarterline Rd, Muskegon, MI 49444, on October 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with a funeral service following at 12:00 PM. Services will be officiated by Rev. James Williams Sr. and Bishop Bruce McCoy, Bibleway Outreach Ministry COGIC. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service at the church to share in remembrance and celebration of Reney's beautiful spirit.
