BEST, MR. REED W. Fruitport Mr. Reed W. Best, age 87, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005. He was born in Shepard, MI on April 6, 1918 to Lorin & Hildreth Whipple Best and married Donna J. Shavalier on September 7, 1946 in Sullivan, MI. Mr. Best had been employed at Teledyne Continental Motors for over 33 years, retiring in 1976. He served his country in the US Army during WW II and was a Life Member of the D.A.V. Mr. Best was a member of Sullivan Community Church and enjoyed hunting, camping & fishing. He also worked on cars, having built two Cameros. SURVIVORS wife of 59 years, Donna J.; 1 son, Dennis Linda Best of Fruitport; 3 daughters, Paula Bussing of Muskegon, Barbara Tim Huber of Fruitport & Nancy Jeffrey Gieske of Spring Lake; 9 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Lois & Bonnie & by a brother, Donald. SERVICE Friday, December 23, 2005, 3:00 PM at the Clock Chapel-Muskegon with Pastor John Romanosky officiating. Interment at Sullivan Twp. Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, 6-9 PM & Friday one hour prior to service time at the Clock Funeral Home-Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Contributions may be made to Sullivan Community Church.
