Rebecca Elaine Mccauley

McCauley, Rebecca Elaine Muskegon, Michigan Rebecca Elaine McCauley, age 67, lost her battle with cancer Friday, July 22nd, 2022. She was born in Hart, MI on November 18th, 1954 to John and Elaine(Schmitt) Lareva. Becky grew up in Fremont, MI. Growing up, Becky enjoyed riding horses, sewing, cooking, aviation, and music. She played both the piano and the flute. In high school she wrote an award winning essay and won a trip to Washington DC. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1972. After High School she moved to Muskegon where she met the love of her life, Daniel McCauley. Becky and Dan were married in the fall of 1979. Becky pursued a degree in Health Science and graduated form Grand Valley State University in 1980. Becky was part of the team at Hackley Hospital for over 30 years. She was a lab technician, physical therapist technician, and a restorative technician throughout her years of service. Becky loved animals, loved watching birds, was an avid reader, and enjoyed black and white westerns on TV. Becky was devoted to her family. With her husband, she raised 4 children. She was involved in Girl Scouts for years with her daughters and sports clubs with her sons. She enjoyed many camping trips with her family in the summer. When Becky became a grandma she was just as devoted to her 8 grandchildren. She loved playing cards, board games, reading, and playing at the park with her grandchildren. Becky will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. SUVIVORS Becky is survived by her husband of 42 years Daniel McCauley; children, Elizabeth(Raymond) Kersting Jr., Emily(Jon) Bozik, Derek McCauley, Daniel McCauley; grandchildren, Heidi, Capitola, Lorelei, Seth, Beatrix, Arya, Garrett, and Robert; sister Karen Lareva-Kuck; Nephews, Jonathan, Jacob, and Erik. SERVICES As per Becky's wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be directed to Harbor Hospice of Muskegon in Becky's name.
