Raymond J. Wierda Jr.

Mr. Raymond J. Wierda Jr., age 86, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on September 5, 1930 to Raymond & Susan (Miller) Wierda Sr. and served his country in the US Navy Reserves. He married the former Viola "Fritzi" Radke on October 9, 1954. Mr. Wierda had been the owner Quality Cleaners & Spot Cleaners for years. Raymond was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and former member of the Muskegon Lions Club. He enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling and driving his classic Jeep. SURVIVORS Wife of 63 years, Viola "Fritzi"; sons, Michael (Kay) Wierda of IA, Daniel (Lauri) Wierda of Muskegon, Scott Wierda of Muskegon, Bruce (Mary) Wierda of Muskegon; grandchildren, Jarrad (Carrie) Wierda, Shane (Natalie) Wierda, Alex Wierda, Shelly Wierda, Allison Wierda; great grandchildren, Christopher, Clara sister, Beverly Salmonson. He was preceded in death by son, Raymond Jay "RJ" and brother, Robert. MEMORIAL MASS Friday, February 10, 2017, 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Vu officiating.
