Raymond E. Jackson JACKSON, MR. RAYMOND E. Norton Shores Mr. Raymond E. Jackson, age 71, passed away at a local hospital December 28, 2005, following a long illness. He was born August 26, 1934 in St. Louis, MO to Paul and I. Marie (Henson) Jackson and moved to Muskegon as a young man. He married the former Audrey H. Featherstone in Muskegon on March 22, 1952 and she preceded him in death in March 2005. Mr. Jackson was a former member of the Muskegon Moose. He was the founder of the Road Gents and also raced cars at the Thunderbird Raceway. He owned and operated Ray's Sunoco and Ray's Auto Sales until retiring in 1983. SURVIVORS: 3 sons, Allen E. Jackson of Muskegon, Timothy R. (Julia) Jackson of Norton Shores and Craig D. (Joan) Jackson of Elgin, IL; 1 brother, Stanley (Margaret) Hartle of Jacksonville, IL; 2 sisters, Bessie L. (Gil) Wood of Muskegon and Joyce D. (Harry) Gemmel of Fruitport; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary "Sonny" Hartle and a sister, Arletta Jackson. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Saturday 11 A.M. at the Lee Funeral Home with Rev. Lowell Wood presiding. INTERMENT: Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Friends may meet with the family beginning one hour prior to the service.
