Raymond A. Ahrens

Mr. Raymond A. Ahrens, age 82, passed away in Chandler, AZ on September 19, 2007. He was born on April 21, 1925 in Chicago, IL and moved to Muskegon as a young man. On April 15, 1950 he married the former Esther Purchase. Prior to retirement, Mr. Ahrens was employed at Sealed Power Corp. for 38 years. Raymond and Esther moved to Mesa, AZ in 2000. Raymond is survived by: his wife of 57 years, Esther; daughters, Sue Wisneske and Sandra (Carlos) Vargas; brother, Robert (Patricia) Ahrens; grandchildren, Arron Vargas, Cristopher Vargas, Gwen Wisneski and Julie Clement; great-grandchildren, Seanna, Kameron, Brookelyn, Joshua, Dylan and Zy. A memorial service, celebrating Ray's life will be held at: The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 1:30 P.M., Rev. Joe Galy officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until time of service. Memorial: Muskegon Rescue Mission.
