Mr. Ray Marvin Holstine, age 80, passed away at a local hospital April 17, 2007, following a short illness. He was born April 10, 1927 in Muskegon, the youngest of nine children, to Frank and Lena (Witten) Holstine. Ray proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. during W.W.II. He then married Thera L. VanHemert in Muskegon on December 3, 1948. Ray formerly attended Fellowship Reformed Church. He retired from Sealed Power Corporation in 1990 after 26 years. He later worked for Burns Security and then drove a motor route for the Muskegon Chronicle for 11 years. SURVIVORS: his wife, Thera L.; 1 daughter, Carlene L. Voss of Muskegon; a grandson, Jason W. Voss of Muskegon; and 1 sister, Wanda Viereck of Lyons, MI; and many nieces and nephews. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Friday 11 A.M. at the Lee Funeral Home with Rev. Greg VanderMeer presiding. MILITARY RITES under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veterans will be held at Norton Cemetery following the funeral. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home beginning one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
