Randy Major

Randy William Major, age 68, passed away on Monday November 17, 2025. He was born June 18, 1957 to Jean Major and Carol (Kari) Major Kittridge and was raised in Montague, MI. Randy attended Montague Public Schools until enlisting in the Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbor, HI.

After serving his country, he explored the US with his brother, Mitchell. Randy spoke often of those years, always with the greatest of fondness. His stories included how he and Mitch worked odd jobs to make just enough to get to the next town, or them sleeping under the stars, always looking for their next adventure.

If you asked Randy, he would tell you he was passionate about gardening (even though he made sure his son was digging the holes), hunting (when he actually just enjoyed socializing at deer camp), discussing the super volcano under Yellowstone, classic rock music, and a cold beer. In truth, his greatest joy was his grandchildren, regardless of tea parties or stolen window screens.

Randy is survived by his three children Nathan (Beth Frey) Major, Brittany Nesbary, and Andy Major; his grandchildren Aubrey Munford, Kaimen Munford, Rayna Major, Austin Frey, and Addison Frey. He was preceded in death by his father Jean Major, brother Mitchell Major, mother Carol Kari Kittridge and son-in-law Robert Nesbary.

He will be greatly missed by those that love him.

At Randy's request, there will not be a service held.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Randy's name.
