Ralph Douglas Mulder, age 66, of Muskegon, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 5, 2026, in Muskegon, Michigan.
Born in Tucson, Arizona, on August 23, 1959, to Richard and Joan (Usher) Mulder, Ralph was a lifelong resident of the Muskegon area. He graduated from Muskegon High School in 1977. On July 2, 1987, he married the love of his life, Karen.
Ralph was a hardworking and dedicated man. He worked for over 20 years as a material handler at Eagle Ottawa Leather Company until its closure and later retired from Quality Tool and Stamping. A true family man, Ralph's greatest joy was spending time with his loved ones. He will be remembered for his happy demeanor and his love for life. If you knew him, you knew that his beer of choice was always, without exception, Miller High Life.
A true outdoorsman, Ralph loved hunting, fishing, and boating. He created lasting memories with his family during camping trips to the county park on Big Blue Lake. Ralph also had a passion for his Honda Goldwing motorcycle, sharing many quiet, comfortable rides with Karen.
Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Karen; his mother, Joan Mulder; his children, Christopher "Chris" Taskey (Jennifer Brooks) and Carrie (Jamie) Couturier; his eight grandchildren, Alexis (Jordan Gonzalez) Taskey, Daejah Taskey, Alivia Taskey, Destiny (Jake Carrier) Mulder, Angel Mulder, Dominic Mulder, Andrew (Symphonie Twyman) Couturier, and Skye (Kamerin Schilz) Couturier; and was blessed with numerous great-grandchildren, including Sophia, Avianna, Meliya, Weston, Jacob, Aleigha, and Serenity. He is also survived by his step-grandchildren, Kalvin Brooks and Destiny Hobby; and five brothers, Howie Usher, Richard "Dickie" Mulder, Roger Mulder, and Scott Mulder; one sister, Robin Kosheba.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Mulder, and his son, Randy Mulder. Ralph's quiet presence and steady love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 19th from 2pm-4pm. Address is 5716 S Cherokee Bend, New Era MI 49446. Crack one open for Ralph-it's Miller time.
