Ralph L. Gundy, Jr.

GUNDY, MR. RALPH L. JR. Muskegon Mr. Ralph L. Gundy Jr., age 75, died Sunday, November 27, 2005. He was born in Muskegon Heights, MI on January 23, 1930 to Ralph & Fannie Ashcraft Gundy Sr. and married the former Frances Rhudell Douglas on June 6, 1959. Mr. Gundy had been the Head of Maintenance at Shaw Walker where he worked for 41 years until retiring in 1990. He later worked as a driver for Witt Buick. Mr. Gundy was a member of Dalton Baptist Church where he held many positions through the years. He was a past Dalton Township Zoning Board Chairman and served on the Oakhill Cemetery Board from 1977-2003. Mr. Gundy was a member of the North Ottawa & Seaway Gun Clubs. He loved to hunt, bowl, fish and taxi his grandchildren around. SURVIVORS Wife, Frances Rhudell Gundy; 2 daughters, Kimberly Patrick Shetterly of Twin Lake, Theresa Michael Hannum of Muskegon; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Shetterly, Andrew Shetterly & J.J. Hannum; 2 sisters, Marilyn Glen Helmer Tanner of Hart, Eleva Melvin Jensen of Whitehall; 1 brother, Robert Wanda Gundy of Muskegon; 2 sister-in-laws, Myra Douglas of Twin Lake, Elease Clayton Johnson of Muskegon; 1 brother-in-law, Joseph Ann Douglas of Whitehall; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Derek Shetterly in 1987; 3 brother-in-laws, George Douglas, Willard Douglas, & Lavern Tanner. SERVICE Wednesday, November 30, 2005, 11:00 AM at Dalton Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Coulon officiating. Interment at East Dalton Oakhill Cemetery. VISITATION Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at church. MEMORIAL: Dalton Baptist Church Memorial Fund or American Diabetes Association. Clock - Muskegon
